Description

This gently sparkling beverage is a delightful and health-conscious alternative to commercial sugary drinks.

Loaded with the gut-supporting benefits of the ginger-flavored kombucha and fruity apple flavor, this wholesome soda will quickly become an Autumn staple in your household!

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Wash the apples, remove the stems and seeds, and cut into quarters. Keep the peel for extra nutrients, if desired.

  1. In a medium saucepan, add the apples, water, cinnamon sticks and ginger. Allow it to come to a boil.

  1. Reduce the heat, cover, and let simmer for 10 minutes.

  1. Add the honey.

  1. Simmer for another 10 minutes until the apples become soft. Remove the cinnamon and ginger.

  1. Take the mixture off the heat and let cool for a few minutes.

  1. Transfer your apple mixture into a high-speed blender and blend it until completely smooth.

  1. Position a fine-mesh strainer lined with a cheesecloth over a medium bowl and pour the apple juice through it, separating most of the pulp. Use a spatula to gently move the pulp around, extracting as much juice as possible.

  1. To assemble your drink, combine the apple juice with the ginger kombucha and serve right away!

  1. Serve it with ice and an apple slice for garnish.

Note

We recommend using homemade kombucha for this recipe. If not possible, opt for a high-quality commercial kombucha with no additives.

You can store your pre-made apple juice in a sealed glass container for three days in the fridge. Add extra kombucha as you need it so your beverage doesn’t lose the effervescence!
